Corvus FLT

Corvus FLT

Based on 3 reviews

We took the best handling bike in the business and squeeze out even more performance and fun, without sacrificing rack or bottle mounts even on the fork. The all-new Corvus FLT embodies everything you could want in the backcountry or your local trails.

Proven race Performance, amazing ride quality!

We put the Corvus on a diet of high modulus carbon fiber for the last 10 months, and the results are staggering for a savings of roughly half a pound (220g for you Canadians). Some companies drop weight by eliminating paint and rack mounts. We dropped weight by using a higher grade of carbon. The results are fantastic and Bicycling agrees mentioning this bike first in its list of 2018 best fat bikes.

And while we are there, a word about geometry. We did not go with the geo du jour, as these aren’t enduro bikes. There is nothing to be gained getting the front wheel way out in front of you and much to be lost. Without enough weight on the front wheel, the bikes can suffer severe understeer. Snow conditions vary more than any other and having a bike that instills ultimate confidence can make all the difference.

I upgraded from my 2011 aluminum Fatback to the Corvus FLT. I wanted a fat tire bike which pedaled well and was light and responsive. I don't race but ride local trails aggressively with an occasional out of town long ride. Wow....float like a butterfly and sting like a bee! The Corvus FLT is an outstanding bike being balanced, stable on the downs, and an efficient climber. This bike is definitely a big step up in fat bike performance.

This is hands down the best fat tire bike available. You can build this bike up to rival the lightest fat bikes on the planet and still have an ultra capable and super reliable machine that you can feel confident riding into the wilderness on your next big adventure. I've piloted different versions of the Corvus on the Iditarod Trail Invitational on three occasions and the Corvus FLT is the next step in the evolution of adventure fat bikes. Not only does it handle great on everything from deep snow to glare ice, I never had a single mechanical issue in my three ITI finishes. I witnessed other competitors limp to the finish on broken frames from other brands and felt fortunate to have the confidence in my equipment that comes with riding the best fat bike out there.

I test rode this bike at Interbike and couldn't believe how well it rode. Light (for a fat Bike), and amazing through turns.

What it takes to be a Fatback FLT

The crew here at Fatback Bikes is always making tweaks to their personal bikes to make them just a little better; trying new tires, brakes, drivetrains… So naturally, we do the same with the products we make. We ask ourselves, "can we make is stiffer, lighter, more comfortable, and increase cold weather performance? Can we improve clearance for larger tires while maintaining narrow Q-factor?" Each model is designed for a certain purpose, we focus on what will make it pedal, handle and look better than ever. Each little aspect is contemplated to see what we can improve. With this dedication to improvement, we have released the new FLT product line focusing on lightweight, high performance and premium ride quality bicycle frames and components.
